The transition from using traditional Maximo, now referred to as Manage, to adopting the full suite of applications (Visual Inspection, Monitor, Health, and Predict) is where clients can realize substantial efficiencies, risk reduction, and productivity enhancements. Data is more critical than ever, and starts conversations with our clients about managing, securing and extracting the value of it.

Clients are on stage talking about how they are moving to MAS and why. It was also great to see the thriving ecosystem of partners that will work together to deliver the value of MAS. The diversity of MaximoWorld 2023 was remarkable.
MaximoWorld is a global community, with attendees hailing from Europe, Asia, South America, Africa, and North America. The conference offered a unique opportunity to understand different perspectives on Maximo’s global usage. Various sessions highlighted the latest trends in asset management and best practices from users in different countries. One session that was most meaningful to me was how Kharkiv is using Maximo to rebuild their country after the devastation visited upon the Ukrainian city. These connections can lead to long-term partnerships that benefit organizations and community members alike.
MaximoWorld: An Experience Like No Other
I can’t believe it’s already been a week. Coming together with the Maximo community has been an incredible experience. The conference brought together users, IBM experts, and vendors to discuss the various challenges facing users in the asset management industry. We were able to build a network of individuals interested in improving their skills and advancing the use of Maximo. Especially moving was the use of Maximo in the reconstruction of Kharkiv in Ukraine by starting at the baseline of creating a digital asset registry, assessing all damages, and from there integrating Maximo in numerous systems to rebuild the physical structures, plants, houses, and more for Kharkiv.

Several sessions, such as those on effective upgrading and IBM’s roadmap, were incredibly popular. I had the good fortune to present with Kendra Dekeyrel of IBM on the main stage during the keynote address, where we discussed key priorities like AI, reliability, and sustainability.
