LONDON – Cohesive have been named a market leader in asset management technology implementation by Verdantix, the independent research and advisory firm.

In a new report, Green Quadrant: Industrial Asset Management Technology Implementation Services, 2024, Verdantix identifies Cohesive as a stand-out leader when evaluated against the market’s nine other most prominent providers.

Cohesive are ranked top both for their Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software implementation services and for their skill at supporting organisations with the cultural and process changes – such as data strategies, data integration and workforce upskilling – necessary to make digital transformation programmes a success.

Cohesive’s track-record of delivering asset reliability and integrity software implementations is also highlighted in the study, which is regarded as the ‘gold standard’ of independent reviews.

The report examines the surge in uptake over the past two years by asset owners across all sectors for technology and digital solutions to help them manage their assets more effectively.

A push for increased productivity and operational efficiencies and a desire to reduce energy consumption and meet net-zero goals are cited as key drivers for the trend.

Cohesive delivered the most EAM software implementation projects in 2023 of any of the ten providers evaluated. Their proven track-record with specific industries and their relationships with best-in-class technology organisations Bentley Systems and IBM, are both cited in the study as being among key strengths.

Cohesive’s success stories with clients including Allied Mills, where implementation of IBM Maximo Asset Management saw corrective maintenance reduced from 29 per cent of overall maintenance activity, to 9 per cent, are also cited.

Colin Ellam, Cohesive’s Chief Executive, said: “This report underscores our market-leading expertise and proficiency across all aspects of digital asset management.

“By leveraging the technology of Bentley Systems and IBM, and the depth of experience and capability within our team, we are able to deliver an unparalleled service to our clients and support them with digital transformations that unlock significant value.”

Hugo Fuller, industry analyst at Verdantix, said: “Industrial organisations are increasingly turning to asset management technology to drive operational efficiencies. This report provides a detailed, fact-based comparison of the most prominent industrial asset management technology implementation service vendors in the market.”

The providers evaluated using Verdantix’s ‘green quadrant’ methodology, included professional services firms, Accenture and Capgemini, and engineering consultancy specialist, Arcadis. Its research included discussions with customers involved in implementation projects, desk research, and interviews with corporate decision makers.

Cohesive achieved the top score – 2.5/3 – for its EAM software implementation capabilities and a perfect 3/3 – for its ability to successful support the changes around people and processes which accompany new technology.

The report predicts that decarbonisation will be a significant driver of investment in asset management technology in the years ahead.
