The Challenge
To reduce risk and rework and to improve quality, Related Argent needed help to develop and deliver their BIM Strategy for the Brent Cross Town (BXT) masterplan.
This 35-year project set around 50 acres of parks and playing fields will deliver 3 million sq. ft of office space, 6,700 new homes, student accommodation, restaurants, and sports and leisure facilities.
Our Role
We developed the BIM strategy for BXT, including the scope of services, roles and responsibilities, and schedule of deliverables for BIM implementation and management at project level. Our role was extended to become the Strategic Client Advisor on the project providing wider digital services.
Since the success of BXT, we have helped Related Argent develop a range of BIM strategies including for their Tottenham Hale and Kings Cross estates.
As Strategic Client Advisor to Related Argent, we:
• act as custodians of the information strategy; we have information management responsibility for all infrastructure and development plots within the BXT masterplan
• provide management and coordination of the sitewide BIM model and virtual document control. Our work has included the production of a suite of BIM documentation including Employer’s Information Requirements, Asset Information
Requirements and BIM protocols for suppliers to work against
• provide GIS support. Our Information Management and GIS specialists have provided extensive 3D model and data auditing and coordination, geospatial analysis and support
• are responsible for the development of the operations and maintenance (O&M) strategy
